Dual Credit at Tulsa Community College

Eligible Oklahoma juniors and seniors, including private and homeschool students who meet the admission rules, can have TCC tuition waived for up to 12 hours as juniors and 18 as seniors.

Last verified: October 2026. Agencies revise these programs every year, so confirm details with the office named in each section.

Can a Tulsa private school student take dual credit at TCC?

Yes: TCC's dual credit program admits juniors and seniors from accredited public and private high schools who meet one admission measure, such as an ACT composite of 19, an SAT of 990 or a 3.0 unweighted GPA.

Students from unaccredited schools or home schools must show coursework equal to a junior or senior and meet TCC's unaccredited-student admission requirements. TCC suggests checking the Oklahoma Private School Accreditation Commission list to see how your private high school is classified.

How much tuition does the TCC waiver cover?

TCC applies state tuition waivers worth resident tuition for up to 12 credit hours in the junior year and 18 in the senior year, applied automatically about three weeks after the semester's drop date.

Course fees, books and materials stay with the family. Students who graduate early lose senior-waiver eligibility, and withdrawn or failed hours still count against the limit.
