A Tulsa family paying for private school deals with at least four offices: the Tax Commission for the credit, the State Department of Education for LNH, Oklahoma Human Services for child care and private nonprofits such as GO for Catholic Schools for scholarships. Tulsa Edu Funding puts the parts that apply in Green Country in one place and ties them to specific schools.
Every funding check is read by a tuition counselor, who then calls the family. Where a school or organization partners with us, we say so on the page, and partnerships never change the sources we point families to.
Where does the school list come from?
We downloaded three bulk files on October 30, 2026. The federal NCES survey of private schools gave 46 schools once one duplicate row was dropped, using 2023-24 answers or 2021-22 answers where a school skipped the newer round; the Oklahoma Tax Commission's participating-school file dated September 3, 2026, with 76 schools in the four counties; and OSDE's Lindsey Nicole Henry approved list dated October 28, 2026, with 27 schools in the four counties. We matched them by code on name, street address and city and checked each fuzzy match by hand. A school that shows up on a state list but not in the federal survey is still in the directory, carrying only what the state list says about it.
Where do the program details come from?
For the tax credit we rely on Chapter 50 of the Tax Commission's administrative rules (OAC 710:50), its overview, taxpayer and SGO web pages and the PCTC report dated September 3, 2026. For LNH we use OSDE's LNH web page, its family flyer and its funding memo to schools. Catholic aid comes from the Diocese of Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma's school pages; pre-K, CAP Tulsa, child care and dual credit details come from OSDE, CAP Tulsa, OKDHS and Tulsa Community College.
